"I am number four"  By Pittacus Lore.

The I am number four books are an amazing read, full of adventure, twists, turns and heart breaking chapters.
I have read all of the books even the small extras, and all of which kept me hooked. By the end of the first few pages you will be dying to find out 4's legacies, and what's in his mysterious Loric chest. I would definitely advise reading all the books and joining the battle for Lorian, 4's home planet.

hope you like it too,

The Hidden Kingdom by Ian Beck (published 1st September)

This book is about a prince named Osamu who must be united with a sword and helmet so he can save the world from evil demons from Hades.  He travels with a girl named Lissa who is his protector and a young apprentice potter named Baku is led to them by a strange ice woman.  I thought that this book was a really good read because it had two different adventures going on with the prince and Lissa then with Baku at the same time.

Sky Hawk by Gill Lewis

Sky Hawk is an unpredictable page turner. It is about a boy and a girl who come across an Ospreys nest. They go through embarrassment and their friendship is put to the test, in order to save the Ospreys. I love this book because something new and exciting happens in every chapter.

Gone’ by Michael Grant

This is a real page turner about a boy named Sam who was sitting in school one day when suddenly everyone above the age of 15 disappeared. His world is turned upside down and everything is out of control. Then some people found out that they had strange power that they could barely control. Sam’s 15th birthday is coming up as well-just to add to the chaos. I loved this book because of all the twists in the plot it had.  With every chapter something new happened making it impossible to stop reading.

Uglies by Scot Westerfeld.

Teen Read. Sixteen year-olds in Tally’s futuristic city undergo an operation to make them beautiful and Tally, the youngest of her friendship group, cannot wait. After all, we only respond well to wide-eyed, flawless beauties, don’t we? And does history not show that wars have started because people used to look different from one another?

Tally’s new friend, Shay, is not so sure. As the pair approach their joint sixteenth birthday, Shay turns from unenthusiastic to something more dangerous. When the day finally comes for Tally’s operation she comes face to face with a group nobody is quite sure exists- Special Circumstances- who give her an ultimatum………Tally has no idea of the truth she is about to learn…

An enjoyable blend of action, drama and just enough thought provoking issues, which I would recommend especially to fans of teen dystopian novels such as The Hunger Games. Louise N.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

This is a brilliant sequel. It's got more action, more drama and more romance. Katniss might have got out of the arena but the capital hasn't forgotten her little stunt. A brilliant book fit for a king! It's got more twists that a roller coaster and is a fun ten out of ten. Tom R (13)

Are these my Basoomas I see before me? By Louise Rennison

The tenth book of the Georgia Nicholson series and as funny as ever. I really enjoyed this book because I thought that Georgia could be really funny at times and she gets annoyed at her bezzie because Jas wants to talk about badgers and sticks while Georgia wants to talk about her life. Malice by Chris Wooding

Malice is about a boy called Seth and his friend Kady. There is rumours Call on Tall Jake and he’ll take you to Malice a world that exists in a horrifying comic book. Seth and Kady think it’s just a silly myth. But when there friend disappears the rumours don’t seem so silly.

An action-packed book/comic with surprises.

This book kept me up every night. I couldn’t get enough of it even when I finished it I kept on thinking of it.

Secrets by Jacqueline Wilson

Secrets is one of my all time favourites. This book is aimed at mature children as it contains some upsetting subjects.
Its about two girls who really should never be friends or even have met as they have very different backgrounds, and ways of life but they do have one thing in common they both share their secrets with their diary. They end up helping each other
overcome their very different problems, and solve them with the inspiration from knowing and idolizing Ann Frank and all that she went through.
